Roles & Responsibilities:

Working as part of a team responsible for small installation works and supporting operational maintenance of University premises, you will be undertaking planned projects and reactive work on various systems to support the University’s infrastructure and environmental control systems across all our premises, ensuring that they are maintained and installed in a safe, efficient, and functional order.

You’ll need good planning, organising and prioritising skills, and will be working at a senior level. As such, you will be expected to tackle more complex tasks, take on additional responsibilities and communicate effectively at a senior level.

Other responsibilities include: 


	Maintain all systems, including statutory inspection and testing where required, to meet current legislative requirements.
	Ensure failing plant or assets are reported to the Helpdesk and plant areas are maintained in good condition.
	Deliver an effective and timely response to maintenance demands across the University in a timely and cost-effective manner.
	Ensure compliance with all University Health and Safety and Environmental systems and procedures, and take an active part in the development of these policies
	Ensure the use of equipment and materials in delivery of maintenance services are appropriate and meet current legislative standards.
	Keep up to date with related legislation and developments, attending courses and passing all necessary exams to maintain professional accreditation.
	Carry out multi-skilled tasks, where relevant, such as (but not restricted to) mechanical isolation and fault finding, electrical isolations, minor carpentry, redecoration repairs linked to maintenance and small works.
	Complete all administrative work associated with departmental management systems, including the completion of work records, timesheets, stores issues, estimates and health & safety records. Utilise Building Logbook to record all maintenance visits and any relevant defective information and repairs. All defects to be reported immediately to the help desk for further action.
	Must be computer literate and work well with computer/tablet systems

Job Description :

We are seeking two highly motivated Post-Doctoral Fellows (PDF) for a collaborative project between SusMat-RC at UM6P and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Under the supervision of Professor Youssef Habibi, the successful candidates will focus on developing innovative recycling technologies for plastic waste through sustainable physical and/or chemical pathways.

Key duties include:


	Conducting hands-on polymer processing, recycling, and characterization.
	Designing, executing, and analyzing experiments using analytical, spectroscopic, and microscopic techniques.
	Collaborating within an interdisciplinary team of chemists, polymer specialists, and engineers.
	Maintaining detailed experimental records and drafting technical reports, research papers, and conference presentations.
	Contributing to proposal writing and seeking external funding.
	Supervising undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students.
	Traveling abroad for short-term work assignments as required.


Position Requirements:


	Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Polymer Science, Materials Science, Chemical/Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related areas.

About Centre for English Language Education (CELE)

Since the development of the Nottingham Ningbo campus in 2004, the Centre for English Language Education (CELE) has aimed to promote high-quality EAP teaching in its structure and support of academic programmes delivered in China. With around 90 academic staff, the CELE operation at UNNC is now one of most well-renowned of its kind globally, currently supporting students on UNNC Preliminary Year modules, presessionals, summer schools and in-sessional language and academic skills support programmes.

Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified English language teaching professionals able to offer experience and expertise in one or more of the following key fields:


	EAP/ESP teaching, including online teaching and support through Virtual Learning Environments (VLEs)

	Teaching up to a maximum of 18 hours per week (to agreed standards from a given syllabus) on both credit-bearing and support EAP/ESP courses, as required. 
	Working week to also include approx. 14 hours of teaching preparation, marking and feedback as required, and other administrative duties relating to teaching (standardisation, report writing, attendance of regular course and general meetings).
	To participate in assessments and to act as invigilator in such examinations as required.

Person Specification (Essential)

Your Remuneration, Benefits and Support

Salary will be within the range of RMB 357,386 – RMB 487,079 per annum, depending on skills and experience, and salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance. In addition, an attractive package including accommodation allowance, travel allowance and medical insurance will be provided for international appointments.

The posts will initially be offered on a fixed term contract for a period of three years starting February 2027 (though earlier/later starts for exceptional candidates may be negotiated).
