The 450-acre main campus houses an array of student organisations such as the Anime Club, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Christian Campus House, Drama Club, Habitat for Humanity, Ski Club, Table Tennis Club and Student Government, as well as sororities and fraternities. The other campuses are based in northern and central Indiana, as well as Centreville, Michigan, and Peoria, Arizona.
In addition, students can join varsity teams. They compete in baseball, basketball, cross country, football, golf, ice hockey, lacrosse, soccer, tennis, track and field, wrestling, softball and volleyball NCAA Division III championships.
A few notable alumni are Ralph Trine of Vestil Manufacturing, after whom the university is called, John J. McKetta Jr., advisor of four US Presidents on environment and energy, Ralph Ketner, founder of grocery chain Food Lion and Lynn A. Brooks, president and CEO of Rieke Packaging Systems.
