Sugiyama Jogakuen University is situated in Nagoya, Japan. It began as Nagoya Women’s Sewing School in 1905. The university started as a college of home economics, and has since developed into a seven-faculty system with four graduate schools. The university offers a "Total Life Design Education" to help modern independent women balance children, marriage, work and life. The aim is to cultivate women who contribute to society through cooperation with companies and the community. The seven faculties include: life sciences; international communication; human relations; cultural information; contemporary management; education and nursing. Their four graduate schools consist of: life sciences; human relations; contemporary management, and education. To aid students in their search for graduate employment, the university has a Career Support Division which offers personal interviews, internships and job exchange meetings. Sugiyama Jogakuen University offers students a range of study abroad programmes and destinations across the world to help students develop language skills and personal growth. Students can study in the USA, Canada, Australia, China, Taiwan, Korea, Thailand and Malaysia. Students can enjoy a range of student clubs during their time at university including: culture club, gym club, athletic club, and the opportunity to join the University Festival Executive Committee. The committee meets once a week to discuss the Sugidai Festival which is held every October. Student facilities include a travel agency, cafeteria, bookstore and convenience store.

As a Senior Lecturer, you will contribute to the delivery of research training and supervision within a postgraduate medical program.
