Full time, continuing term role at our Melbourne campus with some hybrid flexibility About the role: Operating within School of Education VIC - Melbourne, the position of Lecturer in STEM Education is a key academic and leadership role in the National School of Education. The Lecturer provides input into teaching innovations and curriculum development contributing to the activities of the National School of Education and the effective coordination, supervision and/or mentoring of staff. Key responsibilities involve the ongoing development, delivery, coordination and assessment of units at undergraduate and postgraduate levels within the discipline of STEM Education in line with the school's national curricula. The Lecturer will participate and contribute to the academic governance of the school in a range of administrative and advisory roles and actively contribute to the accreditation and review of existing programs. Annual leave loading of an equivalent to 17.5% of four weeks' salary pro rata payable, dependent on your commencement date. Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role Te Herenga Waka - Victoria University of Wellington is currently recruiting for a Pūkenga/Pūkenga Matua | Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Terrestrial Vertebrate Biology to join Te Kura Mātauranga Koiora - School of Biological Sciences on a permanent, full-time basis. We are seeking an outstanding researcher and educator to join our Ecology and Biodiversity programme. The successful candidate will develop an externally funded research programme with strategic relevance to Aotearoa New Zealand. Areas of particular interest include terrestrial vertebrate biology, especially research relating to herpetofauna and/or introduced terrestrial mammals. Research with applications in conservation biology, wildlife management, pest species ecology, biodiversity monitoring, restoration ecology, or related fields is highly desirable. The appointee will contribute to our undergraduate and postgraduate teaching programmes, including field-based courses, and will supervise postgraduate students. Familiarity with, or a willingness to develop capability in, tikanga Māori and mātauranga Māori as they relate to ecological research and teaching is expected.
