IVI has developed the ReThink ReDesign programme (https://ivi.ie/rethink-redesign/) which leverages research grants and supports from Enterprise Ireland to assist SMEs in their Digital Transformation and Innovation journey.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical delivery of individual research projects with collaborating organisations, building proofs of concept, prototypes, and systems that help SMEs innovate, while capturing the research value of that work in reusable frameworks, methods, and case studies.

Salary:

Research Assistant Level II (2026): €39,061 (1 point )

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.

Durham University

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced veterinary surgeon (MRCVS) with a passion for inspiring undergraduate students in veterinary medicine. We have a part-time role (0.4 FTE) available for an equine vet. Experienced clinicians who wish to move into education and develop their teaching expertise within a multidisciplinary department are encouraged to apply.

The primary focus of this role will be to support the clinical teaching in years three and four, preparing our students for their final year rotations. The role involves practical teaching, lectures and tutorials and there will be a requirement to travel to our offsite partners on occasion.

The full time equivalent salary for this role ranges from £37,694 - £56,535 plus an additional 10% payment for continued RCVS membership. As this is a part time role, the pro rata 0.4 FTE salary (including 10% payment) ranges from £16,585 to £24,875 per annum.

An exciting opportunity for someone with previous clinical trials experience to join the Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU), within the University of Southampton, in an important role as Senior Trials Manager (STM) within the Early Diagnosis and Translational Group. 

SCTU is a leading UK academic CTU located within the state-of-the-art Centre for Cancer Immunology building at Southampton General Hospital. Southampton Clinical Trials Unit (SCTU) | University of Southampton

SCTU is a UKCRC registered CTU and is core-funded by Cancer Research UK (CRUK) together with funding from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) via the Biomedical Research Centre (BRC) and Research Support Service (RSS). 

SCTU has expertise in the design, conduct and publication of clinical trials and other well-designed studies from first-in-human phase I to practice changing phase III trials to large early diagnosis observational studies with rich translational data. Managing a growing portfolio (75% cancer, 25% non-cancer) that covers the complete spectrum of clinical practice, from primary care through to tertiary referral medicine, including pan-cancer experimental therapeutics, surgery, radiotherapy and early diagnosis. Undertaking multi-centre early and late phase clinical trials, we work nationally and internationally to create the evidence for patient benefit that will directly influence routine clinical practice in the NHS and overseas. 

As part of the CRUK and NIHR infrastructure we have close working relationships with our partners, including the Southampton Experimental Cancer Research Centre, NIHR BRC & RSS, University Hospital Southampton, the Centre for Cancer Immunology discovery community and CRUK Centres and Institutes across the UK, with an increasing number of international collaborations. 

The Senior Trials Manager will lead the relevant portfolio team to ensure effective delivery of the overall strategy and delivery priorities for SCTU. This will include resource management, oversight of financial management, new trial development, grant applications, and the ability to anticipate and consider potential issues or opportunities which could affect delivery and growth of the relevant portfolio.

The appointed person must have proven experience of running clinical trials, with a focus on multistakeholder studies collecting patient samples for analysis, and including new trial development.

This position is full time, or part time (minimum 0.6FTE), fixed term for 24 months.

As part of the Electrical Engineering program of the Engineering Division and the Center of Artificial Intelligence and Robotics at NYU Abu Dhabi the group of Prof. Kostas J. Kyriakopoulos seeks to improve the autonomy of Field Robotic systems by fusing control theoretic and machine intelligence approaches. Formal models are directly applied in real experimental facilities. Marine Robotics is our main emphasis, but candidates with prior experience on Aerial or Ground Systems are not excluded.

We are seeking two (2) Post-Doctoral associates to join our expanding team and make significant contributions to the field. The researchers are expected to have (i) strong engineering skills to find innovative and cost-effective means to improve our research, and (ii) exemplary passion and motivation to enhance our multidisciplinary research at the intersection of control theory and machine intelligence. Methodologies of interest include:


	Robot modelling,
	Nonlinear and Optimal control,
	Reinforcement learning, and
	Data-driven modeling and control.


The Post-Doctoral associates will be based at NYU Abu Dhabi and will directly report to Prof. K.J.Kyriakopoulos, in close collaboration with other researchers, PhD students, and undergraduate research assistants. The Post-Doctoral associates will engage with our regular collaborators at local institutions in the UAE and abroad.

Key responsibilities


	Conduct high-quality and innovative research primarily focused on Control theory and ML methodologies for Field Robotics;
	Support the supervisor in developing and implementing the research agenda;
	Reproduce results of the state-of-the-art (SOTA) methods;
	Design and develop experimental facilities to allow implementing experiments on real platforms operating indoors and outdoors, to compare our proposed work with SOTA baselines;
	Contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals and conferences;
	Create, maintain, and document high-quality research code for reproducibility; and
	Collaborate with scientists within the NYU Global Network and in Abu Dhabi.


Minimum Qualifications


	Possessing a Doctoral degree from a recognized institution in Electrical, Mechanical, Computer, Naval or Aerospace Engineering.
	Is less than 5 years post receiving the Doctoral degree.
	First-author peer-reviewed published papers (and/or under review).
	Demonstrable research experience involving integration of hardware and software of robotic systems.
	Demonstrable research experience in conducting experiments for Field Robotic Systems.
	Proficient programming experience in embedded, real-time software in C/C++ and Python with several years of practice.
	Experience in maintaining high-quality code on Github.
	Ability to visualize experimental results.
	Effective inter-personal and team-building skills.
	Self-motivated with an ability to work independently and in a team to get the work done.
	Excellent communication skills (oral and written communication).
	Willingness to learn and confront new challenges.


The appointments will be for two (2) years with the option to renew further, depending on performance. The terms of employment are very competitive and will include housing and travel subsidies.
