National Institute of Technology Delhi was one of 10 new National Institutes of Technology created under India’s five-year plan in 2010.

Its campus is on the north side of metropolitan Delhi.

It offers bachelor of technology degrees in computer science and engineering, electronic and communications engineering, and electronics and electrical engineering.

Half of the student places, decided by performance in the Joint Entrance Examination for India (JEE,) are allocated to students from Delhi, the other half to students from the rest of India.

The majority of students are accommodated in NITD’s hostels, four for men with 750 places and a single women’s hall with 270.

The appointee will be responsible for data collection, data management and analysis, preparation of research reports and high-quality manuscripts, the development of proposals and research design, the presentation of research findings at local and international conferences, the supervision of junior research staff in academic and research activities, and other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator. Dr Jonathan West is Associate Professor in Biomedical Microfluidics. Research is focussed on clinical translation and technology commercialisation to benefit patient care. Jonathan has patented a microfluidic method for understanding platelet activity with potential to predict thrombosis risk and associated heart attack and stroke risk. The Role The role involves using an advanced microfluidic technology to monitor the platelets of patients with sepsis or severe respiratory infection. The research entails working with our partners at University Hospital Southampton and commercial partners providing comprehensive flow cytometry data sets to benchmark the microfluidic technology.
