Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences, Saudi Arabia, is a private health sciences college based in Jeddah, operating under the healthcare and education ecosystem of the Fakeeh Care Group.Ěý

It was established in 2003 with an initial intake capacity of around 620 students and has since expanded significantly.

The college began with its Bachelor of Science in Nursing programme, admitting its first cohort of 55 students, and has since grown into a multi disciplinary institution offering undergraduate, postgraduate, and research based medical education.Ěý

Over time, new academic programmes were introduced including Medical Laboratory Sciences in 2010, Medicine and Surgery in 2017, Doctor of Pharmacy in 2018, and Respiratory Care in later years, alongside a broad portfolio of specialised master’s degrees in areas such as psychiatric nursing, critical care nursing, oncology and palliative care, neonatal intensive care, women’s health, community health, medical education, and nursing administration.

A defining stage in the college’s development came in 2017 when its student capacity increased to approximately 2400 following major expansion, alongside formal institutional accreditation from the National Commission for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in Saudi Arabia.Ěý

Fakeeh College for Medical Sciences has also developed a number of international academic partnerships that support curriculum development, staff training, and research collaboration. These include cooperation agreements with the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and the University of Dundee in the United Kingdom.

The college places strong emphasis on research and innovation, establishing specialised initiatives such as diabetes research chairs, summer research schools, and clinical training programmes. It has also introduced strategic development plans aimed at expanding postgraduate education, strengthening interdisciplinary healthcare training, and enhancing contributions to community health services.
