It was established in 1996 under the Private University Act of 1992.

East West University offers a wide range of undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programmes through its three main faculties: the Faculty of Business and Economics, the Faculty of Sciences and Engineering, and the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Social Sciences.

East West University has a dedicated resource Centre for Research and Training (EWUCRT) to provide students with the necessary resources to facilitate research.

Additionally, the university has also forged partnerships with several leading institutions in Bangladesh and across the world.听

Our research staff will have the opportunity to be equipped with applied research skill sets that are relevant to industry demands while working on research projects in SIT. The primary responsibility of this role is to deliver on an industry innovation research project where you will be part of the research team to design, develop and evaluate schemes for quantum key distribution networks and systems. Key Responsibilities: Participate in the research project with Principal Investigator (PI), Co-PI and the research team members to ensure all project deliverables are met. Design, develop and evaluate solutions given problem statements in key generation and relaying across multiple hops in quantum key distribution (QKD) networks. Demonstrate functionality of solutions. Document and publish the project works. Job Requirements: Have relevant knowledge in the areas of quantum key distribution (QKD) protocols, e.g., BB84, E91, MDI, TF, etc. If there is no prior experience, it is acceptable if the candidate can self-learn the knowledge within a short time (e.g., 1 month). Have a degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent. Possessing a Master鈥檚 or PhD degree will be advantageous. Experience in designing, developing and evaluating solutions for a given problem statement using simulation tools, such as Matlab, Python, etc., and documenting and publishing the works in technical reports or papers. Knowledge of network placement optimization for various topologies, e.g., Erdos-Renyi random network, scale-free, small world, etc, will be advantageous. key Competencies: Understand existing quantum key distribution (QKD) protocols, networks and systems. Able to perform resource placement optimization in computer/communication networks. Proficient in technical writing and analytical skills. Show strong initiative and take ownership of work. Able to work in a team with members of diverse backgrounds.

The department consists of approximately 45 people of 11 different nationalities. Members of the department have published in international top journals, including the Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Management Science, Organization Science, Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes, and the Strategic Management Journal. We regularly host conferences and seminars featuring colleagues from around the globe.The successful candidate will work closely with Thorsten Grohsjean, who joined the University of Vienna as a Professor of Organization in January 2026, after more than 9 years in the Department of Management & Technology at Bocconi University in Milan, first as an assistant and then as a tenured associate professor. He received his PhD from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universit盲t in Munich and a Diploma in Management from the University of Mannheim.In his research, Thorsten Grohsjean explores how organizations shape their employees and how these imprints drive individuals鈥 decisions, in turn affecting organizational performance. He studies this indirect linkage across two streams. The first examines how organizational affiliations shape interpersonal relationships, affecting individuals鈥 dyadic interactions within and across organizations. The second focuses on resource allocation among competing alternatives. Specifically, he studies how organizational features, such as the structure of the decision-making process and the composition of the decision panel, shape the selection of strategic alternatives.听Most of his research uses large-scale quantitative data analysis alongside semi-structured interviews. He uses unique data that he collects by scraping multiple data sources, most notably on the video game development industry and various sports (e.g., ice hockey, basketball, and soccer), or by collaborating with organizations. Recently, he has also relied on laboratory experiments. What you will be doing: They work on their dissertation and its completion. In addition to their research, candidates assist with and participate in administrative tasks and teaching activities at all levels (independent teaching within the scope of the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement), including evaluation measures and quality assurance. What we expect from you: Applicants should have completed their Master/Diploma degrees (or be very near completion) by the time of their application as a Master degree/Diploma is required to finalize the contract.
