Crandall University is a small Christian liberal arts university in Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada. It is operated by the Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Canada, with a mission to âtransform lives through quality university education firmly rooted in the Christian faithâ. Although it is a faith-based university, students are encouraged to explore their own beliefs.
It was founded in 1949 as the United Baptist Bible Training School (UBBTS), and served as both a secondary school and a Bible school. Over time, the focus of the school has gradually shifted toward post-secondary programmes and undergraduate degrees in the arts, business administration, education, organisational management, science and theology and master's degrees in education, management and organisational management. Much of the teaching is undertaken in small class sizes.
The university runs a student ambassadors programme which enables prospective students to connect with current students and ask them questions about life at Crandall University.
Athletics is a big part of Crandall University campus life, with the Crandall Chargers competing in the The Atlantic Collegiate Athletic Association varsity competitions for menâs soccer, womenâs soccer, menâs cross country, womenâs cross country, menâs basketball, womenâs basketball and womenâs volleyball. The Chargers also compete in boxing for the The National Collegiate Boxing Association.
Moncton is a central location for the Atlantic Provinces and travel to other countries is straightforward with the Roméo Leblanc International Airport (YQM).
