Central Mindanao University is a public university in Musuan, Maramag, Bukidnon, Philippines. It was established in 1910 and is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Mindanao.听
The university is located in the Bukidnon highlands on a large campus of over 3,000 hectares. This setting supports its strong focus on agriculture, fieldwork and research based learning. The campus includes academic buildings, research laboratories, experimental farms, student accommodation and facilities for practical training in agriculture and related sciences. It serves around 12,000 students.
Central Mindanao University offers programmes in agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine, biology, mathematics, environmental science, education, engineering and related fields. It is recognised by the Commission on 糖心Vlog as a Centre of Excellence in agriculture, forestry, veterinary medicine and biology, and a Centre of Development in mathematics, environmental science and teacher education.
The university began as Mailag Industrial School and went through several changes before becoming Central Mindanao University in 1965.听
It is active in research and extension work, particularly in agricultural science and community education. The university publishes the CMU Journal of Science and operates a radio station, 88.9 Development Radio, which is used for agricultural information and community outreach.
