Cebu Normal University is a public university in Cebu City, Philippines. It was established in 1902 as Cebu Normal School. It has developed over more than a century into a comprehensive university with strengths in teacher education, nursing and allied health sciences.

It is located along Osmeña Boulevard in the city centre and operates a main urban campus, with extension campuses in Balamban and Medellin in Cebu province. The university is situated in a busy academic area with links to local hospitals, schools and community institutions that support training and practice based learning.

Cebu Normal University has around 8,700 students across basic education, undergraduate and postgraduate levels. It is organised into several colleges, including the College of Teacher Education, the College of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences, the College of Computing, Artificial Intelligence and Science, the College of Culture, Arts and Sports, the College of Public Governance, Safety and Sustainability, and the College of Tourism, Hospitality and Hotel Management. It also offers graduate education and professional training.

ÌýTeaching combines classroom learning with laboratory work, practice teaching and clinical placements, depending on the programme.

Research is supported through dedicated institutes covering areas such as instructional delivery, public governance, ageing and health, computational mathematics and tropical biology. The university also publishes peer reviewed research through its journal of higher education.

Student life includes the student council, college-based councils, academic organisations, cultural groups and sports teams. The student publication Ang Suga has a long history on campus.Ìý

The university also takes part in intercollegiate sports through regional athletic associations.
