Ateneo de Davao University (AdDU) is a private Catholic institution in Davao City, Philippines, established in 1948 by the Society of Jesus. It began as St. Peter鈥檚 Parochial School and was renamed Ateneo de Davao upon Jesuit administration. In 1977, it attained university status and has since grown into a leading centre of higher learning in Mindanao.聽
The university operates across three campuses in Davao City. The main campus on E. Jacinto Street houses the undergraduate and graduate schools, as well as the College of Law. The Matina campus accommodates the grade school and junior high school, while the Bangkal campus hosts the senior high school.聽
AdDU offers a wide range of undergraduate and graduate programs. The Vietnamese-German University (VGU) is seeking a highly qualified full-time lecturer in聽Signal Processing & Machine Learning. Candidates must hold a Ph.D. in this field or a closely related field and have a strong background in research. Relevant international experience is of advantage. The successful candidate will become part of an international network of universities and research institutes. Teaching Responsibilities In the role of a lecturer, the successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in聽Electrical & Computer Engineering (ECE) program. The expected workload for the in-class lecture conduction is 08 academic hours per week, totaling 240 academic hours per year (1 academic hour equals to 45 minutes). Teaching should reflect current research methods and results, and comprises lectures on the following modules: Analog Signals and Systems (45AH) Digital Signals & Systems (45AH) Machine Learning (45AH) Operating Systems/Computer Architecture (45AH) Computer Vision/Image Processing (45AH) Software Engineering (45AH) The named courses are subject to change upon realistic needs of the programs and joint agreement between the lecturer, relevant Academic Coordinators, and Dean/Vice Dean in charge of teaching.
