Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) was founded with the aim of providing a centre for modern higher education based on Islamic principles and values. It was established as a university in 2006.聽

The main campus site is in Kuala Lumpur, but the institution also has a strong online programme to serve students worldwide.聽

The university has faculties of Islamic sciences, language, finance and administrative sciences, computer and information technology, and education. With about 100 teaching staff, the university offers more than 40 academic programmes in various disciplines and fields.

MEDIU offers undergraduate degrees in the arts and humanities (focused on Islamic sciences, languages and teaching); business and management; engineering; and technology (focused on computer sciences and information technology).

At the postgraduate level, there are master鈥檚 programmes in Islamic studies, languages and literature, business and administration, engineering and technology, and education. Students can also pursue PhDs in Islamic studies, languages, business and management, economics, ICT, and education.

Students, including international ones, may apply for a range of scholarships, and they can join a range of student clubs and organisations.

The university has multiple local and international partnerships, including with universities and educational institutions in countries such as Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Jordan.

Research and Innovation Services is seeking two Impact Managers to support the University鈥檚 preparations for REF 2029 and help strengthen the development of research impact activity across the institution. One role will focus primarily on Medicine, Health and Life Sciences disciplines, while the other will support Social Sciences. The role will make an important contribution to the identification, development and management of impact case studies and supporting evidence for future research assessment exercises.
