The Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova was established in 1991, but can trace its roots back to a faculty of education established in 1953. The university is based in Chisinau, Moldova’s capital city. The university has declared its purpose to "enable integration of higher economic education and scientific research" and to "not only develop specialised professionals, but also build a new mentality in the spirit of freedom of thought, action, pragmatism and life efficiency". The MACIP Business Trade Centre was created in 1993 was an early exemplar of training for entrepreneurship in the new nation. There are six faculties following a reorganisation in 2002 include – business management and administration; economics and law; international economic relations; finance; accountancy and economic cybernetics, statistics and informatics. Nearly every course is taught in Romanian, with some also in Russian. Some courses, in particular international economic relations, are offered in French – a double degree is offered with the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry – and English. Alumni have dominated recent national politics. Valeriu Strelet was prime minister of Moldova in 2015 and in 2016. Two alumni contested the presidency with Igor Dodon narrowly defeating Maia Sandu. In June 2019 Sandu became prime minister, but was succeeded in November 2019 by Ion Chicu, a former management faculty classmate. The city is Moldova's main industrial and commercial center, and is located in the middle of the country, on the river Bâc. The city is Moldova's largest transportation hub and there are several museums too.The three national museums are the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History, the National Museum of Arts and the National Museum of Archaeology and History.

A unique opportunity for an individual to join as a Laboratory Technician in the Veterinary Medicine School at the University of Surrey, responsible for the technical preparation of UG veterinary Medicine classes, safe use and maintenance of the teaching Laboratories within the School of Veterinary Medicine, ensuring a safe, efficient, and well-supported teaching environment. You’ll contribute to laboratory operations, working with the Senior Technician to provide skilled technical support is available to assist UG students and academic staff with practical teaching classes while maintaining compliance with Health & Safety regulations. Role & Responsibilities You’ll be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing laboratory consumables and equipment, ensuring availability and safe functionality. You will directly support teaching activities by providing inductions for new teaching staff, training on specific equipment, and hands-on assistance as required, working collaboratively with your line manager to maintain high standards of research support. Key responsibilities include: Preparation and Delivery of Teaching Support  Prepare materials for undergraduate and postgraduate practical classes and provide technical support throughout. Work closely with the Senior Teaching Technician to ensure sessions are appropriately serviced and that all equipment is functioning correctly. Procurement and Experimental Design Support  Liaise with academic and technical staff to source materials and support the design of experimental work. This includes ordering and stock control of consumables. Technical Training and Guidance  Provide technical advice, training, and assistance to staff and students in the application of laboratory techniques and the use of equipment, including specialised methods. Day-to-Day Laboratory Support  Assist with the daily operation of teaching laboratories and associated areas. This may include supporting activities in the Research labs and Clinical Skills Laboratory (CSL), including work with live companion animals where required. Health and Safety Compliance  Maintain a safe working environment in accordance with Health & Safety regulations, including electrical safety testing, CoSHH compliance, and the correct disposal of waste. Job description: The Applied Chemistry and Research Engineering (ACER) program at Mohammed VI Polytechnic University (UM6P) is seeking a highly qualified candidate for the position of Assistant Professor specializing in Fluid Mechanics, Heat and Mass Transfer, and Chemical Engineering. The selected candidate will lead cutting-edge research in process intensification, reactor modeling, and sustainable energy systems, with a strong emphasis on computational fluid dynamics (CFD), all separation and Conversion processes , particularly adsorption-based processes, heterogenous catalysis and energy conversion technologies. The candidate must demonstrate strong publication and as well proven teaching capabilities in chemical process engineering. The ideal candidate should demonstrate expertise in at least one of the areas below, experience/expertise in multiple areas is an asset: Experience in both process modeling/design and experimental research. Fluid mechanics and transport phenomena Separation and Catalysis Adsorption/absorption processes, process design, and chemical reaction engineering Heat and mass transfer, and thermodynamics Computational fluid dynamics (CFD) using tools such as COMSOL, ANSYS Fluent, or similar Programming skills (e.g., Fortran, MATLAB, or equivalent) Demonstrated expertise in both experimental and numerical simulation approaches applied to separation processes.
