Montpellier Business School has joined forces with a major employer to create the first 鈥渁cademy鈥 solely devoted to the needs of the camping holiday industry.
The new in-house training centre, launched in聽partnership with聽Vacalians, the European leader in the camping market with more than 2,000 staff, will have an annual budget of 鈧1 million (拢875,000).
It will enrol 500 students in 2018 and has a target to take on 1,500 students by 2020. From 2019, it will be open to external candidates for work-based training and apprenticeship programmes.
Teaching will be provided by research professors from the business school as well as by professionals from Vacalians, using a blended combination of classroom training, e-learning and videos. It is hoped that the Vacalians Academy will also provide a major boost to the economy of the Occitania region, France鈥檚 leading camping destination.
