Despite acknowledging the importance of contradictory examples in the study of the humanities, James Nikopoulos (Opinion, 9 March) remarks on a society鈥檚 skill sets relevant to the 鈥減assions of their populace鈥. Is he seriously suggesting that people at work 鈥 whether unskilled, technical, social or symbol-crunching 鈥 are very likely to be in love with their labours rather than quietly getting things done but very much looking forward to the weekend?
