Veterinary science is the most expensive subject to teach, with costs reaching almost 拢20,000 per full-time student, according to the Financial Sustainability Strategy Group鈥檚 report The Sustainability of Learning and Teaching in 糖心Vlog in England.
Clinical medicine and dentistry cost about 拢15,000 and 拢16,000 respectively. Meanwhile, laboratory-based subjects including physics, engineering and chemistry are around the 拢10,000 mark.
Social studies, humanities and language-based studies, education, and business and management are among the cheapest subjects to teach, with an average annual cost to universities for each full-time student of about 拢6,000 to 拢7,000.
The average fee for a bachelor鈥檚 degree, after all financial support from universities is included, was just under 拢8,000 in 2013-14.
