Growing student protests have forced Edinburgh University to rethink plans to save money by cutting library hours.
Edinburgh has almost 20 libraries scattered across the city. It wanted to save 拢25,000 through measures that include closing all but the main library two hours earlier and reducing lending services.
But a university spokesperson said this week: "In the light of strong student concerns, the proposal to cut library opening hours is being reviewed."
