Brussels, 23 Mar 2004

The European Commission has announced that it is to launch a call for proposals for projects and supporting activities under the Preparatory Action on 'The enhancement of European industrial potential in the field of security research'.

The call, identified as PASR-2004, will be published in April 2004. It will address all fields covered in the Commission communication on the implementation of the Preparatory Action, published in February 2004.

The total indicative budget will be 13 million euro, and the provisional closing date is 23 June 2004. This may change, however, so interested parties are invited to check the call text carefully following its publication.
