The ESRC are inviting outline applications to a second Link phase of the People at the Centre of Communication and Information Technologies (PACCIT) Programme. This phase is jointly funded by the ESRC, the EPSRC and the DTI.

The PACCIT Programme supports research to develop a much greater understanding of the psychological, social and organisational characteristics of individuals and groups as they relate to, and interact with, information technologies. This knowledge is fed back into the design of more effective IT systems and products.

For PACCIT LINK Phase 2 government is contributing over £3.5 million as follows. ESRC and EPSRC are contributing £2.5 million to support academic partners. This is coupled with £1.0+ million from DTI to enable companies and other organisations to participate. The call is for high quality industry/academic joint collaborative research projects for funding under LINK scheme rules.
