Yannick d'Escatha, head of energy at French electricity company EDF and former chairman of CEA, the Atomic Energy Agency, has been appointed chairman and managing director of CNES, the French space agency.
The European Space Agency has asked graduate and undergraduate teams from Europe to participate in a contest of innovative ideas to boost its Aurora programme for exploration of the Moon, Mars and asteroids.
