This conference will be hosted by the Utrecht Centre of Geosciences, on 6-9 July 2004 at Utrecht University, the Netherlands. It will be organised in the following seven sessions:

  • The thermohaline circulation in a warm world.
  • Deglaciation, Greenland - Antarctica. Does it happen?
  • Frequency of extreme events. Human activity impact. (Hydrology signal clearer than temperature, 3000 years)
  • The carboncycle in the past
  • Methane, last ice age. (New isotopic methods). Hydrates from ice and ocean records.
  • Interglacial
  • Medieval warming
