NI projects win 拢50m

Northern Ireland's two universities have won 拢50 million research funding for seven groundbreaking projects through the public-private Support Programme for University Research. Queen's University, Belfast, won 拢35 million for research into cancer, chemical catalysis, climate change and developing the future generation of microcomputers; Ulster University won 拢16 million, including 拢9 million for a research centre in art, technologies and design, and a transitional justice institute.
