A training scheme to help people hit by the recession has been launched by Leeds Metropolitan University. Leeds Met Business Start-up is offering free training and support to individuals looking to launch businesses in the Yorkshire and Humber region. The programme will include a four-day training package, mentoring and access to office space. Earlier this year, Leeds Met was awarded more than 拢500,000 by Hefce's Challenge Investment Fund to devise proposals to mitigate the effects of the recession.
