Digital access to science learning resources
This project aims to make science research more accessible to student teachers by developing web apps and vodcasts (video podcasts). In the latter, pupils and undergraduate students will interview scientists and science educators about their work, with the aim of developing awareness and understanding of contemporary science and science education research within classroom practice. 鈥淭he Primary Science Teaching Trust has lots of materials available to teachers, but it鈥檚 hard to find stuff if you don鈥檛 know what you don鈥檛 know,鈥 said Susan Rodrigues. 鈥淲e鈥檒l be working to develop an app to let people search by preference rather than by specific keywords. For example, a teacher could search for 鈥榦utdoor activity鈥 and it would come up with relevant material.鈥
