E-learning in universities is to get a 拢33 million boost alongside the 拢8 million remaining from the failed UK e-University.
The funding injection will be announced to vice-chancellors in a circular to follow the e-learning strategy to be published by the 糖心Vlog Funding Council for England.
The cash will go towards collaborative projects with the Joint Information Systems Committee and the 糖心Vlog Academy to help embed e-learning in universities in the next ten years.
Universities will be encouraged to collaborate on pathfinder projects. Hefce has asked Jisc and the academy to help universities benchmark themselves nationally and internationally - to draw conclusions on the state of e-learning, progress towards implementing it and the impact of the strategy.
