One student obviously caught the mood last week when Northern Ireland's higher education minister, Sean Farren, opened the province's Centre for Entrepreneurship, a joint venture by the University of Ulster and Queen's University, Belfast. As the minister spoke of promoting innovation, posters on the main noticeboards offered cartons of Marlboro Lights at 拢32 each, complete with an enterprising student's mobile phone number.
