Corporate attitudes to climate change in Bangladesh are the subject of a three-year research project led by Aston University. Aston Business School and the University of Dhaka will work on a project to increase awareness of climate change among corporate managers in Bangladesh, which as a low-lying country is particularly vulnerable to changes in sea levels. They will also aim to influence the future corporate social responsibility policy of the Bangladeshi Government. Results from the first stage of the study found that only 10 per cent of companies identified climate change as an important factor that may affect future business decisions.
