The curse of the recurring acronym struck again this week with the exam-watchers of the Schools Examination and Assessment Council apparently implicated in the row over beef. The thought that there might be a link between beef and academic performance was rapidly superseded by realisation that this SEAC is in fact the Spongiform Encephalopathy Advisory Committee.
Academic geologists have long had to live with the fact that ORS might mean either Old Red Sandstone or Overseas Rehydration Salts. Anyone know of alternative CVCPs or HEFCEs?
