Peter Knight, the long-standing former vice-chancellor of UCE Birmingham, looks to have sabotaged his desk prior to his successor taking office. While new vice-chancellor David Tidmarsh was being interviewed by a Times Higher reporter, a large chunk of plastic fell off. Peeps just hopes that the aeroplane Dr Knight is building in his retirement is more carefully put together.
