Talking of anarchy, John Hood, the beleaguered vice-chancellor of Oxford University who recently lost his struggle to revamp the way the university is governed, still sees himself as a fitting contributor to the debate over cricket governance.
According to Dr Hood, the root of England's disastrous performance in the Ashes lies in the constitution of the 12-man England and Wales Cricket Board. They need to be more even-handed and cannot be when the board is dominated by men who represent the countries directly or have their interests at heart, he told The Daily Telegraph .
