Grievous disappointment for those expecting to see the perfect match of subject and speaker at this week's Institute for Contemporary British History Conference on a century of the popular press. The programme billed a session on crime coverage in the pops, addressed by one Paul Wanton. Those attending were disappointed to instead encounter the rather more prosaically named Paul Walton of Thames Valley University.
