The Council adopted a Decision approving the conclusion of an Agreement aimed at renewing for five years the Agreement between the Community and Russia on co-operation in science and technology.

The existing Agreement, which entered into force in May 2001, was concluded for an initial period until 31 December 2002, renewable by common agreement for additional periods of five years.
