The Université Kasdi Merbah Ouargla is located in the city of Ouargla, Algeria. The university was founded in March 1988 and is renowned nationally for its research partnerships. The university has three large campuses comprising of five founding institutes and 10 different faculties offering academic programmes across a wide range of disciplines ranging from mathematics and medical sciences to renewable energy and humanities. The university has formed research partnerships with institutions such as the Renewable Energy Development Centre, Center for Scientific and Technical Research in Welding and Control (CSC) – Algeria, and Space of Vlog and Scientific Research. It also holds frequent international exchange programmes and research collaborations with international institutions through different programs like the P3A programme, AFEQ programme and the Erasmus programme. There are six libraries and 26 research laboratories. There are also auditoriums, a medical centre, workshops, residence halls and amphitheatres across the campuses.

This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end accountability for domestic student recruitment and acquisition across all student cohorts. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with experts from Masaryk University and other partner institutions on projects related to social and political psychology and specifically to longitudinally test interventions against conspiracy beliefs based on an intergroup approach. Apart from conspiracy beliefs, the project explores a wide range of research topics covering polarization, cohesion, and intergroup allyship. The position will include collaborations with an international group of researchers, social psychologists, experimental economists, political scientists and other experts, and strong focus on peer-reviewed research. We encourage recent Ph.D. graduates specializing in social and/or political psychology to apply.
