Gonbad Kavous University was founded in 1983 as an agricultural school and is now the largest higher education institution in eastern Golestan province, in Iran. It is located in the historic city of Gonbad Kavous. The university became independent in 2007 and gained full university status in 2013.

Innohub will launch the Innovation as a Service (IaaS) programme, which provides companies with a single point of access to innovation expertise from SIT, the Polytechnics, ITE, IPI Singapore, and A*STAR SIMTech. The programme focuses on driving innovation in four key areas: Digital Innovation, Innovation for Smart Urban Solution and Security, Service Innovation for Allied Health, Environmental Sustainability Innovation. Each innovation initiative under IaaS will be supported by external grants and project funding.

The Innohub Manager plays a critical role in supporting Heads and Principal Investigators (PIs) by managing grant drawdowns, budgets, and tracking the committed KPIs. In addition, the Manager will serve as the main point of contact for all industry enquiries, directing them to the appropriate IaaS initiative leads, connectors, POLITE COIs, SIT centres, or domain experts within POD.

Key Responsibilities


	Innohub Operation:

	
		Support the Innohub Head, Innovation Centre Heads, and IaaS Leads with monthly reporting, project tracking, and event coordination.
		Organise the monthly Innohub and IaaS strategy and operations meetings.
		Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the SIT Innovation Showcase.
		Handle general industry and project enquiries, directing them to the appropriate IaaS initiative leads, connectors, POLITE COIs, SIT centres, or domain experts within POD.
	
	
	Grant and Project Management:
	
		Monitor and track the achievements of Innohub innovation centres, and generate regular reports on project outcomes and centre performance.
		Establish, maintain, and regularly update a repository of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and other essential documentation.
		Support the Innohub Head, Innovation Centre Heads, and IaaS Leads in the preparation and submission of grant reports and funding claims.
	
	
	Innohub Laboratory and Project Database
	
		Ensure that all lab users comply with safety protocols, regulations, and standards within the laboratory environment by working closely with the POD Safety Team, Principal Investigators (PIs), and their respective project teams.
		Support PIs in setting up a secure project repository for storing and receiving confidential information from industry partners.
	
	


Job Requirements


	Minimum of a Diploma in Engineering, ICT, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, A-levels, or an equivalent qualification.
	At least 8 years of relevant work experience, including supporting research activities, innovation centres, and managing grants.
	Proven experience in grant management, including preparation of reports and submission of claims to funding agencies.
	Familiarity with procurement processes and document management.
	Experience in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and generating reports.
	Experience in organising events and workshops.

About us

This Fellowship is a collaboration between King’s College London, King’s College Hospital, Guy’s Hospital and the Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission. The post leverages the close relationship between the research interests in oncology and neuroscience offered by King’s College London with the Neuro-oncology service based at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital.

King’s College London has major research interests in Neurosciences and Oncology. The Department of Basic and Clinical Neurosciences, where the post holder will be based, has world class facilities for genetics, neuroimaging, neurophysiology, proteomics, transcriptomics, epigenomics, metabolomics, bioinformatics, cell models and animal models. First in man and Phase 2, 3 and 4 clinical trials are also strongly supported with state-of-the-art clinical research facilities, the clinical trials unit and the NIHR research support service at KCL.

The Regional Neuro-oncology unit at King’s College Hospital (KCH) and Guy’s Hospital Cancer Centre is one of the largest Neuro-oncology units in the country with a catchment area of over 4 million people and is a Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission Centre of Excellence. The Unit provides team-based care in all aspects of neuro-oncology. The KCH and Guy’s Regional Neuro-oncology service is one of the inaugural Tessa Jowell Centres of Excellence for Neuro-oncology. There are Neuro-oncology clinics for: Adults, Teenage and Young Adults and Low-grade gliomas at KCH, and Oncology clinics at Guy’s Cancer Centre. Cases with possible cancer involvement, e.g. glioma mimics, meningeal disease, or brain tumour patients with functional neurological disorders are investigated at KCH. State of the art Neurosurgery is provided at King’s College Hospital with all necessary support. Oncology (chemoradiotherapy) management is based at the purpose-built Cancer Centre at Guy’s Hospital. We have close working relationships with the Haematologists to diagnose primary CNS lymphoma and the CAR-T service for patients with blood malignancies.

The Tessa Jowell Brain Cancer Mission (TJBCM) was formed following Dame Tessa Jowell’s call to action to improve treatment, care and research for people with brain tumours. The TJBCM works with stakeholders in the government, academic, NHS, Charity and patient and volunteer sectors to design and deliver a new national strategy for brain tumours. In particular, the TJBCM aims to significantly grow the brain tumour research community in the UK, train outstanding health care professionals and offer better care for patients in the UK.

About the role

This Post CCT Fellowship is for Neurologists who have completed General Neurology training and want to develop a specialist interest in Neuro-oncology. The post leverages the close relationship between the research interests in oncology and neuroscience offered by King’s College London with the Neuro-oncology service based at King’s College Hospital and Guy’s Hospital.

The Fellowship will be split with 50% time for research and 50% time for clinical care. The objective is to prepare the Neurology trainee to lead neuro-oncology research projects in the future that will improve the diagnosis and management of patients with brain tumours.

The Fellow will undertake a research project(s) which impacts diagnosis and management of brain tumour patients. The research project will be supervised by Dr Gerald Finnerty and will be based in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences, King’s College London, which is on the same campus as King’s College Hospital. The Fellow’s research roles will involve developing and conducting the research project in discussion with their supervisor. We anticipate that the Fellow will Identify sources of funding and will contribute to securing those funds. The Fellow will be expected to write up their research project for publication in academic journal(s) and make presentations at conferences or exhibit work in other appropriate events. Existing research topics range from clinical research e.g. CSF liquid biopsy and stroke in brain tumour patients, through to basic science, such as live human brain tissue to study brain tumours.

The Fellow will gain expertise in all aspects of the diagnosis and management of neuro-oncology patients. Clinical work will be based primarily at King’s College Hospital with a monthly clinic with the Oncologists at Guy’s Hospital. They will provide neurological care for patients with primary or secondary tumours involving the nervous system and patients with neurological complications of treatments for primary brain tumours and other cancers. This includes immunotherapies, such as chimeric antigen receptor T (CAR-T) cells. The Fellow will be closely involved in the investigation and management of patients with conditions that mimic a brain tumour.

This is a one-year full-time (40 hours per week) post and you will be offered an a fixed term contract running 1 December 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter until 30 November 2026.

To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience:

	Full GMC registration with valid license to practice
	Basic Medical degree and MRCP or equivalent.
	Applicants should be at or near to gaining their certificate of completion of specialist training in Neurology
	Training in diagnosis and management of the types of neurological problems faced by neuro-oncology patients, e.g. epilepsy, headache, stroke, cognitive dysfunction, complications of cancer treatment
	Demonstration of acquisition of neuro-oncology-related knowledge and skills needed by neurologists
	Evidence of working flexibly and effectively within teams
	Evidence of leadership potential
	Demonstration of understanding, and commitment to, a career in neuro-oncology


Desirable criteria


	Intercalated Honours degree or PhD?(or pending results)?in relevant subject area.
	Experience of Neuro-oncology during Neurology training e.g. by doing a Neuro-oncology rotation, inpatient care or ward referrals, case presentations
	Experience and knowledge of clinical trial methodology or other research techniques.

The Department of English invites applications for the position of Associate/Assistant Professor in the discipline of Linguistics.

The Department of English seeks applicants who are formally trained in linguistics to complement its existing strengths in theoretical linguistics, sociolinguistics, and applied linguistics. While we are open to all specializations, preference will be given to candidates with expertise in employing artificial intelligence or computational methodologies in their research. Given the linguistic context in Macau, interest in Asian varieties of English is also advantageous. The successful candidate will develop and teach linguistics courses in the BA and MA programmes in English Studies and develop a programme of research and publication that will include supervision of students in the PhD in Linguistics (English) programme.

Qualifications

The successful candidate should hold a PhD in Linguistics or related areas, teaching experience at the tertiary level (particularly for the post of Associate Professor), and a record of research appropriate to the rank of Associate/Assistant Professor. We are seeking a talented Power Electronics Engineer or Research Fellow to design and optimize high-frequency magnetic components and resonant power conversion circuits for advanced aerospace power supply applications. In this role, you will collaborate closely with project supervisors and team members to achieve technical objectives, resolve design challenges, and ensure projects are completed on schedule. The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in both magnetic design and resonant topology optimization, enabling the delivery of high-efficiency, compact, and reliable solutions. Candidates with relevant R&D work experience will be considered. The project supervisor will provide on-the-job training on simulation tools.

Key Responsibilities


	Design and develop custom high-frequency transformers (planar, ferrite-core, and PCB-embedded) for switching power converters. Model parasitics (leakage inductance, interwinding capacitance) for accurate simulation and EMI prediction. Analyze core and copper losses and apply thermal management strategies for high power density application. Build and evaluate transformer prototypes.
	Design resonant circuit topologies for high-efficiency DC-DC conversion. Calculate resonant tank parameters to achieve ZVS/ZCS and optimize switching performance. Model and simulate resonant circuits under varying load and voltage conditions using circuit simulation software. Develop advanced control strategies to meet the application requirement.


Job Requirements


	Master/Ph.D. degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (Power Electronics focus preferred).
	Proficiency in magnetic design tools (e.g., Simplis Magnetics Design Module, ANSYS Maxwell, etc) and circuit simulation platforms (Simplis, PLECS, PSIM, LTspice, etc) is preferred.
	3+ years’ experience in designing high-frequency magnetic components and resonant converters, with relevant academic research as a valued addition.
	Familiarity with GaN/SiC device circuit design application and high-frequency switching considerations.
	Understanding of safety (IEC/UL) and EMC/EMI compliance requirements.
