Position overview

The Residential Business and Systems Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the University’s residential operations through data, systems, and process excellence. About the Position

The School of Civil and Environmental Engineering at QUT has an exciting position for a Lecturer (Level B) / Senior Lecturer (Level C) in structural engineering who is able to provide leadership in both research and teaching within the discipline of Structural Engineering, such as smart materials and their structural applications, smart concrete and sustainable construction materials.

The Lecturer / Senior Lecturer will be working as part of an interdisciplinary team of academics, research fellows, graduate students and industry partners. The role will require participation in fundamental and applied research, including fellowship submissions, grant funding submissions and publications.

This role will also contribute to teaching and innovation in teaching in the structural engineering areas of our undergraduate and postgraduate courses, micro-credentials and professional courses.

This position reports to the Head of School, Civil and Environmental Engineering for supervision, career planning, development, and performance expectations.

Key responsibilities include:


	Undertake high-impact research aligned with QUT’s research focus in structural engineering, with publications in high quality peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
	Develop proposals for research grants and fellowships.
	Effectively engage with industry partners and professional associations at national/international levels.
	Teach in undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including the development and application of scientific approaches to teaching to facilitate learning. Contribute to learning and teaching development and innovation within the School.

Remuneration and Benefits

The classification for this position is:


	Academic Level B (LEV B) which has an annual remuneration range of AUD $134,910 to $160,222 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual salary range of AUD $114,000 to $135,390 pa, 17% superannuation and leave loading; Or
	Academic Level C (LEV C) which has an annual remuneration range of AUD $165,273 to $190,593 pa. Which is inclusive of an annual salary range of AUD $139,657 to $161,054 pa, 17% superannuation and leave loading.
