A RESEARCHER in Edinburgh University's department of medical microbiology has accused the university of racial and sex discrimination after a lecturing post went to a female doctor from Bangladesh. But John Peutherer, head of medical microbiology, this week told an industrial tribunal that Muhammad Raza, a Pakistani, had been unsuccessful because of other factors, including his previous work.
